Ellsbury could be done for the season




Jacoby Ellsbury is scheduled to return to Boston today and could be shut down for the season after his exam in Los Angeles with Dr. Lewis Yo***** revealed a possible rib fracture, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

 Free Agents: D-Backs trying to sign Garland

Diamond Backs blank MLB.com is reporting that the D-Backs could be closing in on a contract with Jon Garland.


It is noted that the contract would most likely be a one year deal and that two weeks ago Garland rejected an offer from the team. After he rejected the deal the Diamondbacks apparently offered Randy Wolf a contract but once again there was a failure to come to an agreement. It is noted that Garland went 14-8 last year and made 12 million. BTR feels that it will be interesting to see what he is able to sign for this time around.
