Royals Trade Rumors
TSN is reporting Kansas City Royals outfielder Brian Anderson is going to give pitching a try. Kansiscity.com is reporting The Royals continue to negotiate with their top three draft picks, with indications coming that deals may be close. The Royals, intent on competing in 2009, signed free-agent reliever Juan Cruz to a two-year contract Saturday. The deal is worth $6 million, according to a major-league source. The deal includes a $3.5 million club option for a third season that could raise the total value to $9.5 million, the source said. None of the money is deferred.
