 Tigers trade Robertson to Marlins; Willis wins rotation spot
TigersSi is reporting The Florida Marlins acquired left-hander Nate Robertson from the Detroit Tigers for left-hander Jay Voss on Tuesday.

The trade enables Robertson to start with the Marlins and assures left-hander Dontrelle Willis a spot in the Detroit rotation. Robertson started six games and also spent time in the bullpen for the Tigers last season, finishing 2-3 with a 5.44 ERA in 28 appearances.

TigersFox Sports is reporting The Tigers have a wide range of needs and have spoken with the Mariners about left-hander Jarrod Washburn. As of Thursday night, though, they weren't optimistic about their chances of making a big trade, according to one major-league source familiar with their conversations.

 Tigers looking for a Catcher and Reliever
TigersMlb.com is reporting that  the Tigers have shown interest in adding a backup catcher and another reliever for the stretch run, adding to the shopping list for Detroit heading towards Friday's nonwaiver trade deadlines. The goal of the backup catching list would reportedly be for offense to supplement starter Gerald Laird, whose average has fallen to .233 as his workload continues to pile up.

Rick Porcello and  Ryan Perry are struggling with  big league hitting. The Detroit Tigers might need to add a Veteran to take some of the pressure off Porcello and Perry.
